Project Superintendent: Rail
N Judah and J Church Lines
Led field operations for the construction and electrification of San Francisco’s N Judah and J Church light rail lines. Oversaw all phases of work including subgrade preparation, drainage improvements, ballast placement, track installation, and power line energization.
Managed day-to-day site activities, coordinated crews and subcontractors, ensured compliance with safety protocols, and resolved on-site challenges in real time. Worked closely with city agencies and utility providers to minimize service disruptions. This project extended the San Francisco Municipal Railway System into underserved neighborhoods, improving access and connectivity for the public.
Joint Powers Board Rail
Supervised on-site operations for a complex rail rehabilitation and deep-water infrastructure project and ensured compliance with contract plans and engineering requirements.
Ensured that structural and rail standards complied with Joint Powers Board and Southern Pacific Railroad requirements while maintaining project milestones and budgets. Acted as a liaison between Caltrans engineers and Southern Pacific Railroad, and reviewed falsework drawings with input from the railroad. Monitored inspector progress and evaluated project scope by assessing pumping operations and water levels at footings.
